How counselling can help
My personal philosophy of counselling is that many of us have times in our lives when problems from the past or difficulties in the present leave us feeling unable to cope with day to day life or with relationships or overwhelmed by feelings of hurt, anxiety, sadness or anger.
At these times it is not always easy to admit that we need help. However the courageous thing is to seek out that help. Sometimes we know someone who can offer what we need but other times we don’t know anyone with the right skills or it is clear that it would be best to talk to someone who is right outside our normal circle.
A professionally qualified counsellor such as myself will create a confidential and safe space in which you can talk through your difficulties and know that you have not been judged but have been fully heard. Counsellors do not give advice but we can offer strategies that may help and support you in finding the strength to move forward and adopt healthier ways of dealing with difficult feelings, relationships and situations.
I believe that with the right help we all have the capacity to resolve the issues we face and move forward more constructively.
If you think that counselling with me might be helpful, please do consider booking an exploratory session with me.
